The end of year 3 orientation...

3 weeks passed by… it is not an easy task to survive the 1st 2 weeks as classes being conduct from morning till evening and I think I manage to SLEEP through most of it... last week of orientation is definitely interesting and fun as most of the classes are practical and clinical skills… from internal med till paediatric.. surgery till O&G… every single lesson is just awesome!!

our romantic "couple" sleeping during class break...

"the great fall" somehow all of their head fall on the table

We learned how to examine little toddler till school children.. pregnant mother till labour.. listening to different kind of heart and respiratory sounds and not to forget the most interesting examination of inguinal hernia!! (Hopefully it will never happen on me).. Professors over here are very friendly!! especially Dr. Min Oo!! the YES MAN!! most of the thing we say he just yes yes yes.. so lucky I get him as my case write up mentor..

my favourite mannequin!!

At the last day of orientation.. we get to visit the hospital for the very 1st time… after some simple introduction from 1 of the doctor in the hospital… 4 head nurses orientate us by bringing us around the hospital and the best part is we get to end our session at 12pm… we decided to go to china town for lunch and we found ourselves free food (one of the restaurant opening ceremony or expanding ceremony… who cares.. as long as we get to eat for free!!! Hahaha…) when we return to our car after the "proteincious" lunch (i think i took 4 pieces of chicken!!)... we found ourselves “kena saman”.. which cost us RM5 in total (each of us RM1).. hahaha... still worth it lah… 天下没有白吃的午餐 mah… LOL…

KT China town.. a place for good Chinese food..

everyone go after the "free food"!!

Lastly.. as most of my friend can’t stand with my long and bushy hair (even myself hate it)… a nice haircut will be most appropriate… My head suddenly become very very light and I can even feel the wind passing through the tip of my ears the moment I step outside of the hair saloon!! How I wish my hair will grow slower… Hopefully everything will go fine on the 1st day of my posting!!

At last.... get to update my blog after 2 weeks at KT... all thanks to ah bi for his celcom broadband... I wonder how long we still have to wait for TM to fix our line... cepat sikit ya TM... saya tak boleh tahan ni... LOL..

The very 1st week at KT is still ok for me... since we are having most of our meal at china town... not much different compare to KL... we can still eat pork over here... Hehehe... after that we get bored of eating at china town so we go for some local food near Ibai... a place near our house... There's so many different kind of malay food over here... at 1st it was confusing between nasi minyak and nasi dagang... dunno which 1 is chicken or fish... but now pro dy... not to forget nasi himpit... lucky spicy food is my favourite... so not much of problem for me la...

Orientation week is definitely BORING!! everyday we have class from 8am till 4pm... not the type of orientation most of the school have where new people having fun at the campus for few weeks... other than brain power we must have... most important is gluteus power... imagine u sit whole day for 3 weeks... Sien dao!! The best part of KT is u get to see sunrise almost everyday on the way to school... the view is just PERFECT!! only missed few days due to cloudy or rainy day...

Not to forget to mention my new family member for the next 3 yrs... Poh, jiyin and Kev aka Ah bi... really nice staying with them... we got some really fun activity during the past 2 weeks... that is the opening ceremony for Jack & Jill chips (there's key chain with different kind of country flag in it) This is the result of 4 malat lou staying in 1 house... Hahaha... and the lucky thing is i got Germany for my 1st attempt... syiok!!

Thank God today is Sultan of Terengganu birthday...Happy birthday to Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin... so nice get to rest during such hectic weeks... there is so many interesting things happen over here but time is running out... Gotta go for gym with my new family... Ciao~

gracias Prof. Dr. Aishah!

2 years passed by at UCSI... It may sounds like "2 years!!"... but for me everything is just as fresh as it was yesterday... the very first time i go to UCSI was for the medic placement interview... Fortunately i was interviewed by Prof. Aishah and Prof. Roland... I wonder if i can make it if Datuk Roslani interview me... LOL... (I've been interviewed for solid 1 hr.. gosh!!)

That was the first time i met Prof. Aishah... She gave me the impression of a lovely mother (i think she is old enough to be my grandmother)... and YES!! she is really a very caring and dedicated mentor to me... I think she is the ONLY lecturer that able to recognise every single student in her class and all their name!! (I know is not fair for those overseas lecturer since they find our name very confusing)... not to forget that she is the ONLY lecturer that gave us hell lot of homework... and to be honest... i always copy other ppl's answer (off course i got "modify" a bit la) ahahaha....

But that's not what I want to share tonight... the main reason I will never forget her for the rest of my life is that she was the one who inspired me... to continue pursuing the path of medicine... during end of year 1... I feel like quitting medicine due to all the stress and a bit vague of my future, not sure if medicine is the right choice... That time I did pretty bad for my FAs and end up being summoned to her office after class... I told her I wanted to quit medicine but she immediately stop me... we had about 2 hours talk in her office... where she try to understand what my problem is and also to motivate me... She told me something which i appreciate very much and always inspiring whenever i feel like giving up medicine... but I don't think I will share it here... Sorry guys... a bit personal punya... Without her I may not continue studying medicine... Thank you very much Dr. Aishah!

Today was the last day i go to UCSI Cheras campus before leaving to KT... saying goodbye to all the lecturers... and as I predicted... I spend nearly 2 hrs in Dr. Aishah's office (lucky Ganesh and Mr. Foo is there too)... she tell us stories about her ancestor and it was very interesting... now I know she got genes for Chinese, Japanese, and Indian!! no wonder she look so fair like chinese la... hahaha... she even share with us photos and souvenirs made by year 5 seniors that graduated last month... and off course... she still can name almost all of them... pro!!

Hope I get to see her again in the future... stay healthy and happy Prof. Aishah!! we will miss u at KT...

Prof. Aishah~ cute lecturer that love pink very much...
