Fishy March~

It's sad that year 3 O&G posting had come to an end... I must admit that I was kinda lucky during my end of posting exam where I got a case which already been discussed... i bet my mother must be praying hard for me everyday... XD

Just another random update on what actually happen in this month... first of all.. I must thank all of my friends that made my birthday night early this month a memorable one... the so call "surprise" at the beach after bedside teaching was abit weird though.. haha... went for supper at kedai ikan bakar after the "surprise" and was awed again with the combination of almost all the secret recipe's cake, cards, presents and a bunch of AWESOME friends... Thank you all once again!!

thank you all for the wonderful moment!!

O&G definitely is the posting where u can rest a little and cool down your brain for a little while... the amount of stuff u need to read is "slightly lesser" than in Surgery or Internal med... not that i say it was a easy posting but definitely it is way more interesting compare to others... learning in the labour room were the best... it feels like u are working in a factory where mothers come in, deliver the baby, make sure both of them are safe, and send them home with an extra member added to their family... u feel rewarded when u can successfully guide the baby to this world... a friend of mine told me that i might just delivered the next Osama... haha.. bro.. i might just delivered the next Obama!! LOL...

Fortunately i was able to observe how ventouse delivery is perform in real situation... it was a case for prolonged second stage of labour... took her almost 2 hours to deliver the baby and time is definitely running out... although the baby is full of meconium... it was lucky that he survived without any complication other than the chignon on his head...

Ventouse baby with chignon (don't worry.. it will usually resolve in 2-3 days)

Twins delivered!!

Was given the opportunity to help out the seniors with their public health campaign last week... It was a busy day for us and we definitely gain lots of experiences... hopefully tomorrow's PHC at Mydin mall will be a good one... we got a very dedicated chairperson!! pray hard it won't rain tmr!! *throw dried chili around the area* note - it was our school scout tradition to throw dried chili around the gathering ground before campfire... they say this will prevent the sky from raining... LOL... I bet Lord Baden Powell didn't teach us that in 'Scouting for Boys'.

during senior's public health campaign..

Last but not least... the McD breakfast craziness and Jiyin's ability to finish 3 burger in 15 minutes mark a very good end for stuffs that happened in March...

our hero!! ate 3 burger in the morning!!

these people ahh... summore tapao for lunch and dinner... =.=

sometimes I just miss the good old days... =)

the so called "supermoon" during 19th March..
was playing basketball with bro at Bukit Jalil...

PS... RIP for those fishes that passed away in our aquarium due to the parasite infection... currently there's only one last fish in it.. stay strong!! (he is so fat now as ah bi over-pampered him with all the fish food)

Cajón

Katy Perry's Firework (Boyce Avenue cover)
Press play while reading this post~ XD

Found this beautiful piece of music instrument while listening to Boyce Avenue cover version of Katy Perry's Firework... I've been repeatedly listen to this song (so many times!! almost once everyday)... last week this particular sound produced by a box (look just like a stool) which u can see it in the MV somehow grabbed my attention... tried google for it and finally found it's name!! Meinl Cajón~

It was a type of percussion instrument that said to be creation of Peru's slaves in the late 18th or early 19th century when they work for the Spanish Colonial America's shipping ports... They uses wood crates from the port and turn them into Cajon drum... This is to replace the native drum they left back at their country and also during this period of time... slaves are not allowed to play or possess any music instruments and will be punished if they get caught with one... Hence.. to avoid being punished... they uses the drum as stools to disguise their wonderful music instrument - Cajon... so this is how it was created... Nice right?!!

This is how a Cajon look like...

Hopefully I can play with it one day... enjoy the song!! =)
