AHH!! another month is gone... man February really is a busy week huh... decided to sum up what happen before all the event is faded away from my memory... it seems like I'm developing some sort of short term memory lost...

Manage to travel back to KL early this month for our family 拜天公 "Bai Tian Gong" ceremony... thanks to Lai's and his housemates for the sudden plan to go back KL... It was fun to enjoy the fireworks and firecracker by my grandma's neighbour... Best part is to observe how the "Mata" drop by and say "Gong Xi Fa Cai" to my neighbour (Take "ang pow" from my neighbour la.. XD)... Burning those joss papers and the paper-made "Temple of Heaven" is also one of the long awaited event during the praying ceremony which I really enjoy much when I was young... Now I rather say I love the roast pork sharing moment... where my dad will chop the roast pok into pieces and share among our family members... Lucky I get to go back and grab my portion... hahaha!!

The "Temple of Heaven"

roast pork!!!! sry ah this picture is non-halal!!

stacking up the joss paper... ready to burn!!

dad's pro skill in chopping the pork!!

Chinese new year fever doesn't stop even when I come back KT... was invited to Chinese new year event organised by 慈济 “Tzu Chi” organisation... watched some really meaningful videos on recycle (again) and was impressed by the way how they turn plastic bottles into clothings and donate them for poor people that suffer from natural disaster all over the world regardless of race and religion... passed the candle light of lotus “莲花灯” and received a special ang pow before the event ends...

ang pow and candle light during the event

special coin by tzu chi inside the ang pow!!

Not to forget our UCSI KT campus very own CNY night organised by medical students... spend almost a day decorating and preparing for the event... It was a pretty awesome night with amazing fan dance by our year 3 CF and IF students, Lai's magic performance, lion dance and also not to forget games and sketch prepared by Kev... I can say it's a almost perfect night... we have a bunch of very dedicated organizing committee... (PS>> CF means Chinese Female and IF means Indian Female!!)

wonderful decoration!!

Finally, UCSI University 25th anniversary sport carnival on last weekend... another busy weekend where we have to reach school at 7am!! bye bye to my sleeping time!! (usually i will subconsciously sleep until noon during weekends)... Representatives from other university around Terengganu join us for the 2 days event... Games such as Futsal, Basketball, Badminton, Ping Pong and not to forget Captain ball is available for everyone to participate... As predicted... basketball champion belongs to UMT's "pro" and off course Badminton champ by Naresh from UCSI (don't play play.. he wakil negara 1 leh!!) it was a very tiring weekend and most of us end up in different kind of injury... Get well soon (esp Victor and Kumar)!! (btw... the curry puff during day 1 taste better than day 2.. XD)

Participants register at reception counter...

UMT VS UCSI

Tallest guy in the game... 192cm if I'm not mistaken...

Welcome to the world!!

When most of the people busy celebrating Valentine's day... I plan to make my very own "single appreciation day" a memorable one... when other people helping their wallet to reduce weight I'm making mine obese... manage to cook myself instant noodle before rushing for the night's BST with Dr. Nasir... After that.. all the fun begin~ It's labour room time...

The plan of the night... Not going to go back until i delivered a baby!! it's not a busy night after all... there's still plenty of empty bed for new mothers to deliver... manage to deliver 3 placenta from 3 new mothers... It was my very 1st time conducting placenta delivery... The main thing you have to do is control cord traction (CCT) or also known as "control control tarik" by those funny nurses in the labour room... when I 1st grab and twisting it out... It feels like u are holding on a big bag of warm jelly... make sure nothing is left behind the mother's womb by digging every single clot out after the placenta is delivered... Behind every healthy baby, there's a healthy placenta!! Make sure the cord have 2 arteries and 1 vein... check the length of the cord, the maternal and fetal surface, the cotyledons and finally place them in a plastic bag and return it to the mother... Malays will bury the placenta with respect as appreciation to the special organ for supporting the life of their baby... something new I learned yesterday night...

Placenta!!

Finally... when time reaches 3am... my long awaited mission finally arrived... The baby is coming out!! This time the nurses asked me to conduct the delivery as they already get used to my "existence" in the labour room... someone that's not a space occupying lesion (SOL)... really fun when they acknowledge you as part of their team... it's amazing when u are the 1st person to touch the newborn when they come to this world... every single part of the baby is touch by me 1st including his bola-bola~ hahaha... after cutting off the cord, place the newborn at the mother's chest and ask her to identify the gender of her baby... very important mother's touch...

My very first baby~
the baby appeared to be blue... was incubated for an hour..

examination of the baby by a on-call pediatrician

Right: Another picture of my first delivered baby... handsome boy with big eyes and eyebrows..
Left: pretty girl join him after an hour... delivered her placenta...

be careful when you decided to let the mother to hold on to your hand when they are pushing... they will have unbelievable strength that will causes numbness to your hand... at 1 point i taught she was about to crush my bone!! (no la just joking)...

immediately after I delivered the baby, that same bed was occupied by a women with intrauterine dead fetus which is already at 32 weeks of gestation... half an hour ago the same bed had just happily welcome a newborn to the word... and now.. it's sad to see the disappointment in the parents as they've been trying very hard to get themselves a children... I guess that's the cruelty of the reality...

Well... it's a amazing night after all... so many hand-on experience is acquired... easier than reading books... when time reaches 7 in the morning I decided to call it a day... I've been awake for 38 hours and standing for 11 hours... I guess that's the actual life of a night duty... My gown is stained with bloods and I totally smelled like a placenta... Head to the beach for the sunrise before going back home for a nice bath and my comfy bed.. Thank God it's holiday today... To all the new Valentine babies... Welcome to this world~ U all made my day!!

the beginning of a new day... for me it is time to sleep!!

Rabbit !

Welcome to the Rabbit year!! hope everyone have a great and prosperous new year... did the routine CNY activity... eat, pray, ang pow, play, sleep... and eat, play, sleep... too bad I miss the chance to visit most of my high school friends like previous years (collecting ang pows from house to house)... come to think of it I guess been years I actually have a proper "blow water" session with the 9PJs... (except for Mr Yap Jeff Fu that constantly bugging me whenever I go back KL.. hahaha.. lucky got a friend like him)... partly because most of them already become "PRs" of other country (almost 80% of them is in overseas!!)... LOL... semua sudah jadi ang moh... saya masih cakap bahasa dekat Terengganu... Kesianlah saya...

Took a midnight bus back to KT and have to go to hospital immediately after I change into formal clothing... totally no waste of time... perfect way to travel back during weekends since there will be no more long break until JUNE!! arghhh... really need to plan well for my next weekend escape from KT...

There's a surprise waiting for me when I was unlocking the gate... A rabbit is looking at me from the car porch!! How lucky that is... a rabbit in the house during rabbit year... the 1st thing I do is to call my mom ask her to go buy 4D loh... played hide and seek with the rabbit for awhile even though I know I'm slightly late for hospital BST... saw him eating his own shit... well it's common since they have relatively short digestive tract... imagine what happen if this applied to human... (we will save a lot money for food as we can eat them TWICE!!) LOL... Just a joke!! XD

Manage to take a few snaps of the cute rabbit before he was gone after we came back from hospital session... hope to see him again!! Please give me good luck for the year!!
